Charles has been a California resident since 1972 and has worked in both residential and commercial real estate. He received his B.S. in Business Management/Real Estate from Fairleigh Dickinson University and attended the Real Estate Institute at NYU. Charles is a licensed Real Estate Agent of the State of California and is a graduate from the Real Estate Institute of the San Diego Board of Realtors. Charles has served the San Diego community with his involvement in the Captain’s Advisor Board with the San Diego Police Department and as a Captain with the Honorary Deputy Sheriff’s Association for the past 25 years. Charles has served as Vice President and Chairman of the San Diego Law Enforcement Foundation and on the Advisory Board of the San Diego County Deputy Sheriff’s Association. He is the former Vice President and Founder of the San Diego County Crime Commission and currently serves as President of the Mortimer M & Lilly L. Kopp Foundation. Charles was elected Chairman of the San Diego County Crime Commission in November 2007.
